Submission: Please log in to the journal website ( xb.hust.edu.cn ) directly, register and submit your manuscript in "Manuscript Management" "Author Online Submission" (Note: The submission system website is https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/hustxb ). Authors of manuscripts that have been formally accepted after preliminary review should pay a review fee of RMB 100 (the editorial department will not issue a separate review fee invoice to the author, the financial department will only issue an annual total invoice to the editorial department), and the editorial department will further invite experts to review. Please do not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals.
Review: This journal adopts the double-blind method to send manuscripts to 2~3 peer experts for review at the same time, avoiding reviewers from the same unit as the author. Authors can recommend 2~3 reviewers to the editorial department, or specify reviewers to be avoided. The actual reviewers of the manuscript are ultimately determined by the editorial department. In addition to the editorial department's initial review and double-blind peer review, this journal also uses academic misconduct detection software (Academic Misconduct Literature Detection System AMLC) for auxiliary screening. Academic misconduct detection is carried out twice: the first detection is at the time of manuscript receipt, and the second detection is before the manuscript is published.
1. Preliminary review (3 working days): After receiving the manuscript, the editorial department will conduct a preliminary review of the manuscripts that have passed the academic misconduct detection within 3 working days, and send a revision or rejection notice for the manuscripts that do not meet the requirements; the manuscripts that meet the requirements will be transferred to the peer review stage.
The main contents of the preliminary review include: whether the manuscript conforms to the purpose of the journal, the scope of coverage and the needs of the main readers; and a preliminary judgment on the quality of the content of the manuscript and its publication value.
2. Peer review (2.5 months): After the manuscript passes the initial review, the editorial department will send the manuscript to two appropriate reviewers for review. When selecting reviewers, in principle, reviewers from the same unit as the author should be avoided. The external review includes the value of the article topic, academic level, theoretical basis, innovation, scientificity, content organization and expression, etc.
3. Final Review (3 working days): The reviewing editor decides whether to accept, revise, re-review or reject the manuscript based on the opinions of the initial review and peer review.
Manuscript Revision: In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Copyright Law, this journal may make textual revisions to the manuscript, and the revision of the content will be subject to the author's consent. The responsible editor will provide the editor's processing opinions and the expert review opinions to the author for reference during the revision. After the revision, please fill in the "Manuscript Processing Opinion Form" and "Copyright Exclusive License Authorization".
After the manuscript is accepted, the author must sign a copyright transfer agreement with the editorial department to transfer the relevant rights and interests of the paper copyright, including the right of reproduction of printed and electronic versions, the right of distribution, the right of information network dissemination, the right of translation, the right of compilation, etc. to this editorial department worldwide during the validity period of the paper copyright. At the same time, the editorial department is authorized to exclusively license the third party to use the above rights and agrees that the paper can be retrieved and included in domestic and foreign literature retrieval systems, networks, and database systems.
1. Without the written permission of the editorial office of Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Natural Science Edition), no one else is authorized to compile, reprint or publish any part of this article in any form.
2. The paper is an original work with independent intellectual property rights, has not been published publicly at home or abroad, has no plagiarism, forgery, or multiple submissions, and does not involve confidentiality or other copyright infringement issues. For articles involving confidential projects, the author's unit should conduct a confidentiality review and submit a confidentiality review form. If multiple submissions, infringement, leaks, etc. occur, all responsibilities are borne by the author.
3. The order of authors and their respective units in the paper is true and accurate. There are no disputes over the order of authors and their respective units. The content of the paper is not confidential.
Proofreading: Once the article is revised and finalized, the order of authors and units shall not be changed. If there are no substantial errors during proofreading, please do not add or delete content. Please carefully check each proofreading (especially figures, tables, and formulas) against the original manuscript. If there are any problems, you can directly mark the changes on the PDF file. Please use standard proofreading symbols and keep the sample clean.
After the manuscript is accepted, the author needs to pay a page charge of RMB 500 per page and a colour charge.
On-campus authors: After receiving the payment notice from the responsible editor, please complete the transfer procedures according to the school's financial requirements.
Off-campus authors: After receiving the payment notice from the editor-in-charge, please remit the page fee to the official account of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and take a photo of the remittance receipt and send it back to the editor-in-charge (otherwise it will be deemed that the page fee has not been paid). Please do not remit the money on your own before receiving the notice.
